THE NATURAL CHOICE

Our ice cream parlour was opened due to a passion for ice cream as well as for healthy and genuine products.
 That is why our ice creams and sorbets contain only biological ingredients, that is, without any chemical elements, OGM or colourings.
 
The chickens that lay our eggs scratch about in the open air and eat only feed that has been produced naturally. The milk that is used in our ice cream comes from cows that are not kept inside a barn but are free to graze in pastures.
 
,We have earned the biological certification from the QCertification institute. All our production chain is registered and checked, in order to always guarantee the biological quality for our customers. We are the first certified biological ice cream parlour in the whole of Tuscany!
 
We have given the shop our son's name, Edoardo. Of course there is also a flavour of ice cream dedicated to him, "Gianduia secondo Edoardo" (Gianduia according to Edoardo), a very tasty and creamy ice cream with hazelnuts and chocolate. Neither have we forgotten the grandmothers, who have entrusted their traditional recipes to us and "Crema di Nonna Rosina" (with fresh eggs, milk and sugar) and "Zabajone di Nonna Antonietta" (with fresh eggs, milk, sugar and white straw wine) are named after them.
 
For the sorbets we only use fresh fruit which is in season and, where possible (peaches, apricots, pears, etc…) also the skin becomes a fundamental ingredient, giving fibre and an exceptional flavour.
 
We have also chosen to make our own ice cream cones. We make them by hand right in front of our customers, their fragrance is irresistible and attracts the attention of the people who are passing by our shop.
 
Those who enter our ice cream parlour take a step back into the past; the ice cream in the carapina ice cream boxes, the walnut furniture, the counter in a light coloured wood with all of its drawers, the vintage cash register, the retrò clothing of the staff, all contribute to the atmosphere of an old dairy shop. It seems as if you have returned to the 1940's! It is as if this ice cream parlour has always been here…
Customers really appreciate our ice cream. Once they have tasted it, they often retrace their steps to tell us how much they enjoyed it, which is a great compliment for us.
 
Biological produce is natural, healthy and is liked by all. We at "Edoardo" have made a choice as regards a way of working and lifestyle , certain that our efforts will herald great satisfaction and, of course, excellent ice cream!
